To be able to build a fully functioning website in Wix there are a couple of things to think about:
Wix premium subscription
A Wix Premium website hosting subscription plan will need to be purchased for a personalised domain name to be connected. Once the website design is complete it can be transferred over to your own Wix account for you to assign the premium plan subscription and connect your domain name. Alternatively, I can continue to manage your website through my Wix account and make any updates you want on a monthly or ad hoc basis for an additional fee.
Domain name and hosting
Wix do offer a free domain name for the first year when purchasing their premium plan, which may be worth considering (subject to change). Alternatively, there are a number of sites that a domain name can be purchased from. The domain needs to be purchased as soon as a business name is agreed. You can do this yourself, and the domain can be linked to the completed website. Alternatively, I can purchase the domain on your behalf, although this will incur a small additional charge. I would advise going for an address that ends with .co.uk or .com if possible (as they hold more trust with an audience). If you already own your domain, we can discuss the linking process from your existing host.
Website ad-ons
Depending on the type of website you need, there may be additional cost for ad-ons. For example, if you need an integrated live booking system for your holiday let business, there would be an annual charge for this as it is offered by a specialist third party company. We can talk through the various options for your website needs.
Website content
I will need the copy (text) content that you would like included in the website. This can be provided by you, or, after discussion with yourself and getting to know your business, I can write engaging and clear content incorporating the relevant keywords for your business to ensure your website appears in relevant search engine lists. The time taken to do this will be charged at my hourly rate.
Website images
I will need any specific images that you would like included in the website. If you don't have your own images, I may be able to provide a selection of stock images to chose from. We can speak about this during the planning conversation.
Branding and logo
To make sure the website shows your visual identity I will need a copy your logo, along with any specific brand colours and fonts to be used. If you need any help with this please see my BRAND page.
Cookie & Privacy Policy
In order to be GDPR complaint, I will include a bespoke cookie and privacy policy with all website packages. This will include a cookie banner that asks website visitors for consent to cookies in order to gather anonymous data on their activity on your website.
Website Analytics
I can provide a monthly analytics report for your website so you can see, for example, how many visitors to your site you have had, how they reached your site, what location they are from plus more. There would be a small additional monthly charge for this.
Business email address
If you would like a professional looking business email address we can arrange this for you, for example info@yourbusinessname.co.uk. There will be an additional arrangement and annual hosting fee for this. Get in touch to discuss your bespoke email address.
